The Wind of Change

The monument, shown in the before-now photo, is a reminder of the Soviet troops that liberated Budapest from the Germans in 1945.

It was designed by Károly Antal and it is located in the Freedom Square (Szabadság tĂ©r). It’s really interesting how many of those, who created the monument, want to remove it today. Perhaps we can blame the history for this change of opinion in the Hungarian population. The change of attitude towards the history of the nation is the reason and motivation why I chose to introduce this particular monument.
