Let's ConnAct! Bonding Across Borders
How to keep connected while a global pandemic and a war in Europe’s East keep us in breath? How to counter physical and mental distance fostered by covid-related travel restrictions and in a time when revisionist history serves as a weapon in war?
With the diverse digital programme “Let’s ConnAct! Bonding Across Borders”, EUSTORY – together with Körber-Stiftung and international workshop partners – facilitated a virtual cross-border dialogue for young Europeans to give answers to these questions.
For a period of four weeks, young participants from all over Europe gathered in three different online workshops to exchange perspectives on history and identity and to discuss how to cope with difficult pasts, but also with its legacies in the present. Using various methods and tools, they experienced the challenges and chances of international collaboration first-hand. By changing perspectives, daring the debate and confronting with personal pre-assumptions they gained competences for intercultural dialogue – something which seems to be more important than ever.
