How to (re-)act in everyday conflict situations? What lessons can we learn from the past to respond to injustice with confidence and solidarity?Â
In this workshop, 14 participants from 13 countries used the imaginative scope of theatre to explore methods for advocacy, resistance and creating dialogue across borders.Â
Bringing their personal experiences with clashing standpoints, the group learnt techniques of forum theatre and improvisation to explore new possibilities of conflict resolution: What happens when intervening in an unjust situation? How to show solidarity and raise awareness for discrimination at the right time? By creating stage conflict scenarios in small groups, they developed useful methods of civic engagement to take home for everyday life.
